The Indonesian national team finally has a new captain. A few days ago, the previous Indonesian national team coach Shin Tae-yong was fired by PSSI. The dismissal was announced directly through a press conference delivered by PSSI officials. However, at that time, PSSI did not specify who would be the new coach.
PSSI in the press conference only explained that the new coach is from Europe. The word Europe is perceived by many people as coming from the Netherlands. And specifically, the public thinks that the figure to be appointed is Patrick Kluivert.

"So we are looking for a coach who has leadership, who our diaspora players really respect. And our diaspora players are getting higher and higher. They need a coach they listen to," he concluded.
And recently, a Dutch media revealed two figures who will be Patrick Kluivert's assistants while handling the Garuda squad. The two are Alex Pastoor and Denny Landzaat.
"Alex Pastoor follows Patrick Kluivert to Indonesia. The 58-year-old coach will be the country's assistant national coach. Denny Landzaat will also play a role in the Indonesian team," wrote the Dutch media VI.
"After several months of unemployment, Pastoor accepted an offer to become Kluivert's assistant in Indonesia. Pastoor has now reached a verbal agreement with the Indonesian Football Association," the media continued.
And in the near future, Patrick Kluivert and his assistants have a pretty tough job. They are scheduled to battle with four other teams in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers in the Asian zone, third round of group C. The four teams are the Bahrain, China, Australia, and Japan national teams.
